Rules for Underage Competitions:

Coiste na nOg have noted an increase of indiscipline creeping into our games at underage level and are making a huge effort to stamp it out completely.  Respect must be shown at all times to match officials and their decision is final.  Any breaches of indiscipline will be dealt with severely as this has no place in our games.

This Years U – 13 Competition will run from Friday 21st August to Saturday 3rd October 2009.

It will be run in 2 Divisions with Feile Rules applying.

Division 1 Sections 1, 2, 3 & 4 will be 15 a side Competition. Division 2, Section 1 & 2 will be 13 a side Competition.

All Division 1 Teams will be playing for Division 1 Cup & Shield. The Cup Title carries the rights to represent Sligo in Feile 2010.

Top 2 teams in each section qualifies for Division 1 Cup Quarter Finals. The remaining 2 teams in each Section will play in Division 1 Shield Quarter Finals.

Division 2 teams will play for Division 2 Cup and Plate.

Top 2 teams in each section qualifies for Cup Semi Finals with the remaining 2 teams in each Section playing in Plate Semi Finals

In the event of a tie between two or more teams for positions, the scoring differential between those teams only, will determine League position.

One walkover will accrue a loss of points for that fixture, two walkovers the team is disqualified from the competition.

Neutral Venues will not be provided for Quarter FinalsExtra time (including Sudden death time if required) will be played in Quarter Finals, semi-finals & Finals to obtain a result on the day.

Size 4 football to be used and all kickouts from hand from small square after a score or a wide

Team sheets must be pre-printed with players clearly numbered, they should include the players name in both English and Irish and their date of birth.  These must be handed to the referee before the game begins.  Sub slips must also be legible.

Teams must be on the pitch, properly attired and ready to commence game at the appointed time.

Games cannot be called off without a pitch inspection by an official / local referee at least 4 hours before appointed time.  If the pitch is deemed unplayable the game automatically reverts to the opponents grounds.  The original home club must contact Deirdre Gethins immediately at (086) 351-9333.  If both pitches are deemed unplayable Coiste na nOg will arrange an alternative date as soon as possible.  Any pitch changes should be communicated immediately to Deirdre Gethins.

Coiste na nOg decisions on all matters is final.

For Leagues Only interchange during breaks in play with permission from Referee and only 2 plays of the ball allowed

Size 4 football to be used and kickouts as follows: from hand from small square after a wide and from the ground from 20 meter line after a score
