GAELIC: The Senior team beat Tourlestrane on Saturday evening in Calry. Best for Calry were Bryan Mc Govern, Cormac Coyne and Conor Griffin. We wish Eamon Kelly and Mark Fowley speedy recoveries after picking up injuries at the weekend. The Seniors are down to play Curry away on Sunday at 12pm.The Junior team beat St Molaise Gaels on Sunday in Calry. The Junior team are down to play Coolera/Strandhill away on Friday at 7.15pm.
UNDERAGE HURLING: The club fielded an under 14 team in the Feile hurling blitz at the weekend in Tubbercurry where we played 3 matches in ideal hurling conditions. The boys pushed Coolera hard in the opening game to lose by 3pts, Naomh Eoin the eventual winners proved more difficult and won well while the last match against Easkey was very close, with the result in doubt up until the end with Easkey getting a goal in the last few minutes to win. A great effort was put into all three matches by the boys and there is plenty of potential to be built upon for the forthcoming league campaign. The indoor hurling which has proved very popular since it started in January has finished up for the time being and will resume again in October. The club would like to thank the Grammar School for making their Hall available and to Henry, Marcey, Cian and Dara for organising it.Senior Hurling Training has now recommenced under the management of Michael Galvin, players will be notified by text in relation to times for training, and our first match of the 2010 Dermott Molloy League will be against Western Gaels in Enniscrone this weekend, with Coolera our second opponents.Well done to Frank Browne and the Sligo team, in particular the calry/st Joseph’s players, on the teams win against Tyrone last Sunday which means they retain their status in Division 3 for next year.
LADIES: Calry Ladies began their league campaign with an impressive victory away to Ballisodare on Sunday last, April 18th.  Calry began brightly, and early goals from Sarah Melvin and Emer Lindsay got the team settled.  Ballisodare battled well, but further first half goals from team captain Michelle Lehany(2), Clodagh Watters and Sarah Melvin left Calry well ahead at half time. Calry continued to dominate in the second half, and further goals from Aoife Nicholson and Clodagh Watters, added to fine point taking, saw Calry run out convincing winners against a brave but luckless Ballisodare outfit. Calry team:  W.Feeney, N.Hynes, E.Griffin, H.Gilmatin,(0-1),  C.Mc Daid,   L.Foley, M.Gallagher, S.Scanlon, S.Melvin, (2-2), E.Lindsay,(1-1) M.Lehany,(capt, 2-3) C.Watters, ( 2-4), D.Quinn(0-1) Subs used A.Nicholson,(1-2)G.O’Reiily(,0-3) N.Mc Donald (0-1), G.Walsh.
